South Africa's Minister of Tourism Derek Hanekom visited ITE Turkey office
The tourism volume between Turkey and South African Republic is increasing!
Tourism officials from Turkey and South African Republic gathered to constitute productive partnerships between the two countries. The goal is to increase the volume of tourism economy between the two countries in a short while with the new business and partnership opportunities that EMITT Tourism Exhibition, one of the five biggest tourism exhibitions of the world, provides in tourism sector.
EMITT Tourism Exhibition, organized by ITE Turkey who organizes leading exhibitions in leading sectors of Turkey, continues its work in order to create new business and partnership opportunities in tourism sector. As part of this work, South Africa’s Minister of Tourism Derek Hanekom, South Africa’s Minister of Tourism Chief of Staff Nurunessa Moolla and 1stSecretary of the South African Embassy in Ankara Jonathan Passmoor were gathered with ITE Turkey Tourism & Travel & Fashion Group Director Hacer Aydın and the exhibition team at the ITE Turkey office. As a result of the negotiations, positive steps in order to increase the tourism volume between Turkey and South African Republic were taken.

stated the following:
“The attendance of South Africa’s Minister of Tourism Derek Hanekom in person shows that the EMITT Tourism Exhibition is a very important event for the shaping of countries’ goals and politics. We carry out our work throughout the year in order to improve the tourism sector; one of the carriers of our economy. We believe that in parallel with this work, the negotiations we conducted with South African Republic officials will have positive contributions for the economies of both countries.”

EMITT Tourism Exhibition is one of the five biggest tourism exhibitions in the world and it is an effective business platform for the sector not only with Turkey, but also with more than 70 exhibiting countries. The economic benefits of the exhibition should have positive feedback for South African Republic in the short term.”
With the experience and global partnerships of tourism and travel exhibitions from all over the world such as MITT Russia, UITT Ukraine, AITF Azerbaijan, KITF Kazakhstan and IITT Indiaorganized within the structure of ITE Group PLC., EMITT tourism exhibition has become the biggest tourism and travel exhibition of Turkey and the Eastern Mediterranean region.
The 19th EMITT tourism exhibition held in January of 2015 hosted a total of 142.100 visitors with the participation of 71 countries and 4.550 establishments, foundations and towns. The EMITT tourism exhibition, which will be held in January of 2016, will put congress tourism, winter and outdoor sports tourism and health tourism on the agenda in its 20th year. With the cooperation and promotion work it has done all around the world, the target for the exhibition is to have participation from 80 countries.
East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition – EMITT, which will be organized between the January 28th and January 31st, will be organized under the corporate sponsorship of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Turkish Airlines, with the support of KOSGEB and in the business cooperation of Turkish Hotels Federation (TÜROFED) and Turkish Tourism Investors Association (TYD).
