We Are Bringing the Mona Lisa: Beyond the Glass Exhibition to You!
Mona Lisa: Beyond the Glass exhibition is the first ever Virtual Reality experience presented by Louvre Museum. The Louvre Museum allows the visitors to go through a much more enriched personal experience with the world's most famous painting, while creating a whole new way to reach people inside and outside the building. Virtual reality technology allows you to examine the fine details of the painting, which was painted on a wooden panel, with a closer look and to observe the texture of the wooden panel and the cracks on it through the layers of paint.
The fact that the Louvre Museum and Mona Lisa, the brand values of which are quite high, are relying on technology is an important indicator of the key role digitalization plays in tourism.
We are waiting for all the tourism professionals to experience the Mona Lisa: Beyond the Glass exhibition free of charge in our VR area on the second day, where we will discuss issues regarding branding and digitalization at the conference stage. With the announcement of 2019 as the “Year of Göbeklitepe”, a case study on Göbeklitepe will be made at the EMITT Conference Stage and the digital temple based on Göbeklitepe will be open to visitors at the VR Zone, which we will build in cooperation with HTC Vive. With this experience, which will be offered free of charge to both the professional visitors and the general public, it will be possible to experience the forbidden places in Göbeklitepe with VR.
