Umut Türemen

TOURIST Co-Founder

Umut Türemen was born in Bursa, Turkey in April 1996. Basketball took up most of his life in Bursa. Umut Türemen continued his education and sports life together until he graduated from high school. He moved to Istanbul in 2014 to start his university degree in the Istanbul Technical University Management Engineering program. The first step he took to his entrepreneurial adventure was at this stage. During his undergraduate education, he had various early-stage startups within the ITU Technopark. During this period, he worked in different global companies in Turkey and abroad. In 2021, he moved to Germany to start his master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Munich. Just at this time, he had the opportunity to start the development of Tourist App with Mert Akman, a close friend from the department he graduated from. In the near future, the biggest dream of the two co-founders will be to make the Tourist App ready for Metaverse.
