The rescheduled dates have been announced for the East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT), which is considered one of the world’s top 5 tourism exhibitions and shapes world tourism as the meeting point for industry representatives. The exhibition, which was originally scheduled to take place from February 8 to 11, 2023, has been rescheduled for April 12 to 15, 2023, due to the disaster that hit Türkiye.

The 26th edition of the East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT), which is held by ICA Events in partnership with TUROFED and TTYD and serves the promotion of Türkiye and the branding of its tourism industry, will take place at TÜYAP Fair, Convention and Congress Center from April 12 to 15, 2023. Serving as a meeting point for the tourism industry, the exhibition is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, the Governorship of Istanbul of the Republic of Türkiye, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and Turkish Airlines and supported by KOSGEB.

Hacer Aydın, Director of EMITT, expressed her sorrow for the earthquakes. She said, “As ICA Events, we pray for Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the earthquakes, offer our condolences to their loved ones, and wish those injured a speedy recovery. As a nation, we need to devote ourselves to our work to rebuild the provinces affected by the earthquakes. This can only be achieved through hard work. Our exhibition, which plays an active role in the promotion of our country, was postponed due to the earthquakes. We have rescheduled our exhibition for April 12 to 15, 2023.”
