In their efforts to promote Korea as a destination, Korea Tourism Organization has decided to exhibit at next year’s EMITT. We spoke to Hyuncho CHO, the Director of Korea Tourism Organization in Istanbul about the organization, their reasons for choosing EMITT and their expectations from the exhibition.
Could you briefly talk about your reasons for joining EMITT?
KTO will join EMITT to publicize attractiveness of Korea as a tourist destination, support the promotion of Korean travel products by travel agencies and experience the rapidly changing and developing tourism industry after the pandemic by communicating with tourism professionals and consumers.
Who do you plan to meet at the exhibition?
We want to come together with all tourism professionals, especially travel & MICE agencies, airlines, online marketing companies engaged in outbound travels. Moreover, we will try to meet Turkish citizens to show them attractive K-culture and K-travel content.
What are your thoughts about EMITT and what are your expectations from the exhibition?
EMITT is the biggest tourism exhibition in Turkey. Participation is huge. During this period, we believe that we will meet with tourism professionals and future travelers to Korea, which will take tourism movements between Korea and Turkey to the next level.
Why should industry professionals visit EMITT?
As I just mentioned, EMITT is the biggest tourism exhibition in Turkey. There are local and international participants from every city of Turkey and many countries of the world. In such a good environment, first seeds of many projects related to the tourism industry are being planted. Therefore, all tourism professionals should participate.
