Ankara is a vibrant cultural city, carrying thousands of years of layered history alongside the symbolic identity of the Republic. Yet, this richness has long remained underrecognized. The Ankara Tourism Master Plan (2025–2050) is the first comprehensive initiative aiming to reposition the city’s historical identity at its core and transform Ankara into a sustainable, experience-driven cultural and tourism destination. The plan, built on heritage preservation, local participation, digitalization, and sustainable development, follows a participatory approach structured in nine phases. Its ultimate goal is to enhance Ankara’s brand value at both national and global levels.
