Otel Borovi Çiftliği
The vast pastures of the Pešter Plateau have greatly contributed to the development of livestock farming, so it is quite common to see herds of sheep and cattle across this region. The village of Caričina is especially known for such scenes. It has long been well-known because of the important figures who, throughout the rich history of this area, stayed there — including pashas, beys, emperors, and empresses. This very village is home to the Borovi Hotel Farm — one of the best-organized farms in Western Serbia, thanks to its impressive capacity of more than 70 horses, 500 sheep, 400 lambs, 250 goats, and over 200 cattle and buffalo. The farm is unique because of its production of buffalo cheese and kaymak (clotted cream), specialties served exclusively to visitors of the farm and hotel. All farm products are also used in the Borovi Hotel restaurant, where guests can enjoy dishes recognized worldwide.
